Pat the tofu dry. This will prevent the oil from popping.
Cut the tofu into cubes.

If you using a deep fryer, follow the manufacturer’s instruction on how much oil to use.
If you are attempting to fry on a pan, the oil should reach halfway up the sides of the pan. The ideal frying temperature ranges from 350°F and 375°F (175°C to 190°C). The ideal temperature is also contingent on which cooking oil you choose.
Fry until tofu reaches a golden color and desired crispiness level is achieved.
