Đậu Hủ Chiên (Fried Tofu)

Cookware & Appliances Needed

  1. Stovetop or Hot plate
  2. Pan or Deep Fryer
  3. Cutting tray
  4. Knife of choice

Ingredients

  1. Medium Firm Tofu – 19 oz
  2. Frying oil of choice

Instructions

PREP

  • Drain the fluid in the tofu package.
  • Pat the tofu dry. This will prevent the oil from popping.
  • Cut the tofu into cubes.

LET’S COOK

  • If you using a deep fryer, follow the manufacturer’s instruction on how much oil to use.
  • If you are attempting to fry on a pan, the oil should reach halfway up the sides of the pan. The ideal frying temperature ranges from 350°F and 375°F (175°C to 190°C). The ideal temperature is also contingent on which cooking oil you choose.
  • Fry until tofu reaches a golden color and desired crispiness level is achieved.
  • Served best with the recommended dipping sauce.
