Instructions

PREP

  • In a sauce pan over very low heat, melt the ghee. Then mix in the milk, water, and palm sugar. Stir gently until the palm sugar is dissolved.
  • In a stand mixer, add the 2 cups of flour and yeast. On low speed, add in the wet mixture (the mixture in the sauce pan).
  • Continue on low speed for a few minutes until everything is well mixed.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Then add the salt and mix on low speed for another few minutes, until the salt is well combined.
  • Let it rest for another 10 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into little balls and place them on a baking sheet. Allow enough space between each dough to avoid overcrowding when they expand.
  • Cover and leave dough sitting at room temperature.
  • Let them rise until they are approximately double in size. This should take about 30 minutes at room temperature.

LET’S BAKE

  • Preheat the oven to 375F.
  • Bake the rolls for approximately 20-24 minutes or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked (use the toothpick method at your own discretion).
  • Best dipped in creamed honey.
  • Enjoy!
