Taste the homemade difference
A simple tortilla can create a number of dishes.
Instructions
- Begin by: Adding flour, baking powder, olive oil and water together in a mixing bowl.
- Using a stand mixer or by hand, mix on low speed until you have a dough ball.
- Let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- Add salt and mix again until salt is completely mixed into the dough ball.
- Let the dough rest for another 20 minutes.
- Begin heating a cast iron skillet on medium-low heat.
- Pinch off small balls of dough and roll out flat into a tortilla on a lightly floured surface.
- Cook each side of the tortilla on the skillet until golden brown and ensure dough is cooked through. Only 1 flip should be required.
